Battery discount: timing matters
The Cheaper Home Batteries Program discount is calculated on the installation date and reduces every six months. The next reduction is on 1 January 2027.

Can I add a battery to my existing solar system?
Yes, in most cases. Depending on your current inverter, we'll either add an AC-coupled battery or upgrade to a hybrid inverter. We'll check your system and switchboard and explain the options before you commit.
Am I eligible for the federal battery discount?
Most homes and small businesses installing an eligible battery through an accredited installer qualify for the Cheaper Home Batteries Program discount. The discount reduces every six months, with the next step-down on 1 January 2027. Ask us for a quote that shows the discount applied.
How much power will a solar system produce?
It depends on system size, roof orientation, shading and the time of year. We estimate the output for your home as part of your quote.
